In this paper, we compare two different Gummel methods on thermal dynamic equation. One is the conventional Gummel method using ICCG/ILUCGS, another is our modified Gummel method using Gauss--Seidel/SOR. As a result, we obtain the following conclusion:the conventional Gummel method using ICCG/ILUCGS with thermal dynamic equitaon doesn't has good convergence, it even sometimes can not converge; but our modified Gummel method using Gauss--Seidel/SOR has good convergence on thermal dynamic equations.
