In addition,the auther also tries to probe into the possible helping and deterrent forces in the process of youngsters'' task development in the hope of providing a frame of reference education and guidance. The study samples include 24 senior high adolescents,with 12 in each sex,12 senior high teachers and 11 senior high students'' parents.Using focus group interview of qualitative research,the author interviewed the samples in semi-structured group,and then proceeded to analyze the data in the way of open encoding. The finding of this study are greatly different from Havighurst''s Theory of Developmental Tasks in the factor of social culture,including thinking highly of filial piety,interpersonal relationship being based on ''five ethics'', deemphasizing emotional independence,objecting to dating,etc. Besides,the different viewpoints of the three groups of interviewees on developmental tasks are resulted mainly from cultural and social changes,different cognitive development levels,being unaware of developmental phenomena. The helping and deterrent forces youngsters might come across when learning the developmental tasks are also explored in terms of adolescents themselves,parents,teachers,schools and society.
