The research methodology of b oth questionnaire investigation and deepinterview were utilized to gather data for the study. The subjects of the search came from Taiwan providence, Taipei city and Kaohsiung city special education schoolsand normal junior high schoo ls which were with special education classes. and oneteacher was sampled when categories of special education were above two. The surveyinstrument ''''Investig ation questionnaire of junior high school teacher''''s opinionstoward special edu cation'''' developed by researcher was used. The valid samples consist 860 teache rs. Means, standard deviation,percentage,correlation,chisquare and MANOVA were used to measure significance. Interviewees were two teachers selected accordin gto their complete answers of questionnaire and two junior high school teacher s who were lecturers of 1996 special physical education symposium were also se le-cted,too. By using the self-developed''''Interview guide'''',four teachers were i nterviewedand the contents were recorded for quantitative analys
