碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 86 === A STUDY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF JUNIOR COLLEGES PROMOTED INTO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY IN TAIWAN ABSTRACTThe purpose of the study is to establish the adaptable models in planning picture instruments, extension education, cooperative education, curricula, and equipment for promoting junior colleges to technology of institutes. The first step of this research is to understand the framework of promoting junior colleges to technology of institutes through literature review. Then, seventeen promoted departments were chosen to be interviewed and analyzed case by case. Finally, the researcher integrates the literature review and result of analyzing the case study to compose the conclusion. Furthermore, the researcher proposes concrete recommendations for junior colleges that tend to be promoted to institute of technology in the future. The recommendations are as follows:1. To make sure school''s operating condition, school''s surroundings/ affiliated property, and community needs. According to the result above, suitable ideas and principles of promotion will be proposed afterwards.2. According to the desired to be changed direction or organization to establish the planning groups to cooperate business or industry with schools.3. The planning groups should ascertain the emphasis and direction of the scheme to scheme the related measures.4. Referring to the difficulties that encountered by previous promoted schools and examining school itself to avoid the similar problems happen.5. During the promoting process, the promotion ideas and principles should be examined and monitored.6. In order to enforce the practical essence of vocational education, the school should cooperate and communicate with business and industry while being promoting..
