Experiment teaching is undertaken to evaluate the suitability of this curriculum. The major goals of ethnic-relation curriculum are to cultivate students to have affirmative attitude of ethnic. The experiment samples were drawn from the sixth-graders of Pan-Chiao Elementary School, 39 students for experimental group and 39 for comparative group. Both groups are pre-tested before the ethnic-relation instruction and are post-tested after 9-week units of teaching. The main results are as follows: A.The ethnic-relation curriculum can enlarge students* vision of aboriginal culture. B.The ethnic-relation curriculum can change students* impression of aborigines. C.The ethnic-relation curriculum can improve students* attitude of affiliation and interrelationship with the aborigines. D.Multicultural education can reduce prejudice, stereotype and help elementary school students to develop good ethnic relationship. According to the main results, the following suggestions are proposed: A.Multiethnic education should be developed in elementary school to build up students* concept of ethnicity and ethnic relationship. B.More materials concerning ethnic interrelationship in elementary school should be increased in social studies textbook. C.Authorities should encourage colleges or universities to add the multicultural education in the courses of teacher training and in-service education. D.
