Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹師範學院 === 國民教育研究所 === 86 === This research is conducted by a graduate student in graduate school of elementary education who has taken the course credits for elementary teaching at HsinChu Teachers College. By an interpretive research method, the research is concerned with four post-baccalaureate students in the elementary school teacher education program and explores the process of students'' socialization in the stage of teacher education before launching their teaching career. The research mainly focuses on how the students of the program are trained to be professional teachers and what influence the courses have on their ideology. According to the observation of the four clients'' study within the program, it is found that the program is, generally speaking, a way fo teaching training with "less profession but more ideology". This reflects not only problems of the program but the difficulties which the teacher education has encountered. Besides, the researcher tries to conduct an action research, attempting to achieve personal growth and self-development within the current system of teacher training. However, the action research failed to reach the goal expected due to limitation of some practical conditions. Nevertheless, the empirical research process has led the thesis author, who will be a teacher in an elementary school soon, to a new perception of teaching of elementary education and has provided her an opportunity of self-examination and self-knowledge. Finally, by presenting current conditions and problems of the post- baccalaureate program, the thesis is meant to draw the authority''s attention on the program and the teacher education and, furthermore, to urge the authority to take some action to improve, and to solve the problems.
