Summary: | 碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 國際企業研究所 === 86 === Due to the global competition change rapidly, nowadays the corporate strategy not only focusing on the competition between companies, but also building the appropriate relationship between companies. In other words, competitive advantage will be replaced by the cooperative advantage. By using the cooperative advantage, a firm can operate an ongoing business both efficiently and innovatively, focusing on those things it does well and contracting with other firms for the remaining resources. This study applies social network technique to explore the inter-organizational networking relationships.The study is on the IC-related firms in HsinChu Science-Based Industrial Park so-called "Taiwan''s Silicon Valley". By using questionnaire to understand the industrial network and the organizational performance enhancement. There are some description to the study result as the following:1.There are five type network relationships among the IC firms: joint R&D, business transaction, equity control, financial support and inter-personal networking. Inter-personal networking and business transaction are most important types of the linkage, equity control, financial supports are few.2.The study use two dimensions-betweenness and degree to divided these firms into three categories such as core-orientation, participate-orientation and border-orientation. Most of the core-orientation firms are fab, most of the border-orientation firms are design house, most of the participate-orientation are fabs but the eatablished time from 5 to 10 years.3.Besides the business transaction relationship, most of the network relationship have no significant positively correlated with organizational performance. Even use the characteristics of the network to classified the firms, the results have no significant positively, too. Such a sample selection belongs to the strong tie because of the observable alliances among firms in the same industrial cluster to homogeneity. Each of the firms'' abilities is so similar to have no significant positively correlated with organizational performance.The later study can base on one special network relationship or industry, case study and depth interview to deepen our understanding on the relationship between inter-organizational networking and organizational performance.
