This study of joint system is in Pitouchiao area of northeast Taiwan. By using morphic geometry, kinematics and fractal geometry assorted with examine of regional structure, joint attitude and feature in the field. The joint system of study area was divided into four sets by the strike of attitude. The first to fourth set is N10oE~N23oW, N57oE~N79oE, N37oE ~N44oE and N35oW~N43oW. All of the joint sets, the third and fourth set only appear in the axis of Pitou syncline. Then occurred the first, third, second and fourth set in that order. Application of the joint feature knows the first set maybe is hybrid joint, then form after folding has started. The third set is extension joint then form at the later folding. The second set also is extension joint. At the same stratum but different location, the joint has community attitude when investigable site is in the same position of fold. While at the same lithography but interbed has no weak rock, the joint attitude is similarity even investigable site at the same location but different stratum. On the other hand, joint attitudes are random at the fold axis. Analysis of joint trace uses fractal geometry.
