Power efficiency becomes another key issue as it is considered for modem architectures in PCS. The p/4-FQPSK has advantages of spectral efficiency and power efficiency. This thesis is concerned with the spectral efficiency of p/4-FQPSK by using Butterworth filter, RC filter and DJ filter. Power efficiency and spe The result shows that Butterworth filter does not have any improvement in BER performance, spectral efficiency and power efficiency. The RC filter has the best spectral efficiency and BER performance. The DJ filter has better spectral efficiency with almost equal power efficiency in comparison to the Butterworth filter, but it has better power efficiency in comparison to the RC filter.
