All the materials showed two-phase morphology when characterized by DMA and SEM. The DMA and SEM indicate that partial mixing took place exist in all the mixtures espedially in high PPO content. The tensile yield strengths ofthese blends were found to be independent of PPO content. Another, thedielectric constant also decreased with PPO content in a linear fashion. In order to improve the uniformity and miscibility, triallylisocyanurate(TAIC) has been used as an in situ compatibilizer for the polymer blendsof epoxy and PPO (30phr). TAIC is miscible in Epoxy and the PPO chains are bound to TAIC network. SEM and DMA showed the improvement of miscibility andsolvent resistant in this system. The fracture toughness and dielectric constant of these TAIC-modified systems were also found to be improved by adding TAIC (0 TO 20phr). Shyu Shing-Shin 徐新興 1998 學位論文 ; thesis 1 zh-TW
