The planar positions of the guide pulley and the tension pulley at different chain apeed are determined by using geometrical and force analysis. The simulation results of the planar positions of the pulleys and the experimental results at different speed ratios and different chain speeds are similar. The results also prove that the effect of the centrifugal force and the mathematical model of slack length are useful to improve the mathematical model.
