Tan, to leave is the best policy." Reveals an example of shifting and resoling problems with wisdom, and it is mentioned and applied in everyday life. "6 multiply 6 equal to 36" is a symbol of "many" to ancient Chinese . It also means that, with the "36" schemes", there are plenty ways of problem solving.Meanwhile, the essential characteristic of design is to also find clever ways of solving problems. There are aspectsmany in common with design and scheme. For example, the term "design" in Chinese was originated from application of schemes. Thus, in this study, the focus is on how to apply "the 36 schemes" in product design.None of those design processes - evoking and forming concept, data collection and analysis, synthesigting andinteepating - can be omitted or neglected. Especially in the begin of design process, a good concept contributes a lotto the ongoing design. However, there are always difficulties trying to evoke many design development concepts. So, workable design process model guided by the 36 schemes is proposed in this study , trying to evoke designcreativity.Three are there parts in this study. Literature review was processed in the first part. We expored and analyzed themain concept of every scheme then summanized the key points for each schemes . Correspondence between schemes and design was investigated, to find out the possible model of applying design strategy and concept evocation. In the second part, the 36 schemes is review with the perspective of design viewpoint and designrequirement. Corresponding design examples were collected to prepare a checklist for application . Twoworkable models were then presented. In the third part, real design practices were conducted accordingly.Through three deeieas case, the applicakility of these two modles were verified .
