碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 資訊科學學系 === 86 === Data hiding, one kind of steganography, is a technique that allows us toembed data into other digital media such as movies, still images, and audiofor the purpose of copyright protection, caption and secret messagedelivering. In this thesis, a scheme called image data hiding is proposed toembed any format of data into a still image by replacing the least significantdata. The proposed scheme is based on the characteristic of human visualsystem that a minor modification for image gray levels will be hard to beperceived by human eyes. Moreover, we also propose a cryptosystem, thatdiscourages illicit access for embedded data and the attempt of unscrambling,by applying the random number generator mechanism on our data hiding system.
