Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 航空太空工程學系 === 86 === The objective of the thesis is to apply multigrid method toaccelerate the convergence of the numerical solver for the P-3 approximation with thermal flow problems in cylindricalcoordinates and discuss I13 moment. We first study the pure radiation problem and combinedconduction and radiation problem in cylinders. Subsequently,we investigate combined thermal flow problems with radiationin a circular pipe. In previous studies, researchers typically neglect I13 moment to ensure stability of the P-3 approximation in cylindrical coordinates. Our resultsindicate that the inclusion of I13 moment is veryimportant in optically thin cases. Finally, we apply multigrid technique to solve thethermal flow field. We find that FMG cycle is more efficientthan V cycle in most cases, and Multigrid technique willaccelerate ten times or more for thermal flow field.
