The FT-IR result indicates that inter-molecular inter-actions are weak or non-specific for the PCHMA-PS pair or PCHMA-P4MS pair. PCHC/phenoxy system was found to be miscible. Molecular interactions between the components were examined. Woo E.M. 吳逸謨 1998 學位論文 ; thesis 71 zh-TW |

碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 化學工程學系 === 86 === Abstract
Miscibility and morphology in three binary blend systems:
polystyrene (PS) with poly(cyclohexyl methacrylate) (PCHMA),
poly(4-methylstyrene) (P4MS) with poly(cyclohexyl methacrylate)
(PCHMA), and oligomer poly-1,4-cyclohexylene carbonate (PCHC)
with poly(hydroxy ether of bisphenol-A) (Phenoxy), were investi-
gated by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), optical micro-
scopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier-
transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Only a single Tg was
observed in the PS/PCHMA and P4MS/PCHMA blend systems. But the
Tg's of neat components were quite close. So the miscibility of
these blends were further examined using SEM. The PCHMA-rich
(PCHMA>70wt %) compositions were indeed miscible but the PS-rich
compositions were onlypartially miscible having sub-microne
phase domains in the THF-cast PS/PCHMA ystem. The homogeneous
phase structure was observed in P4MS/PCHMA system, which showed
LCST behavior. The FT-IR result indicates that inter-molecular
inter-actions are weak or non-specific for the PCHMA-PS pair or
PCHMA-P4MS pair. PCHC/phenoxy system was found to be miscible.
Molecular interactions between the components were examined.
