Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 都市計劃研究所 === 86 === Since seventeen century, Taiwan has become the place which immigrants come. Except ''aborigines'', there are also including Quan-zhou, Zhang-zhou and Hakka people etc., and they bring about many abounding and multiform settlements. But by urbanization and other culture invading, many features of traditional settlements have gradually disappeared. In our country, the conservation laws and systems have been over technical that make the conservation difficult. In contrast with other countries, their experiences are worthy of learning. However, reviewing the case of settlements conservation, there still have many Min-nan, Hakka, Ping-pu settlements that are ignored. The study departures from understanding of conservation with internal or external experiences and opinions of some relative experts or scholars. Than exam the case study of Bei- Pu Hakka settlement on social-economic condition, local characteristics, developing goal and so on, afterward some conservation measures practicablly in physical space and human activities will be provided. The result of this thesis suggests that we can make use of community building to combine conservation of historic scenery, redelopment of local industry, maintenance of traditional sociality construction, promotion of environment quality and inheritance of culture activity. From now on, the redevelopment of Bei-Pu settlement should base on promoting environment quality to attract people. Perhaps the redevelopment would cause some community conscious problems between early and late residents, so we have to keep community identification by maintenance of traditional sociality construction and inheritance of culture activity. At last, planning authorities should draw up specific district project in order to achieve the conservation objective.
