The study was focused upon main management items (reproduction, milk yield, and daily receipts and expenses）of the dairy farms. This system was designed to be an available software and to help those dairy farms with medium-small scale in Taiwan to simplify their complicated records, and to keep correct data of herds. The farmers can therefore increase their incomes according to regular feeding and management.This system was divided into three parts concerning reproduction management, milking records, and daily accounting and was written in dBase IV programming language. The system integrated with the records of conception, calving, drying, health, milk production, and daily receipts and expenses into three databases regarding individual cattle, milk production, and daily accounting. Those data in each subsystem can transfer each other and produce some different kinds of reports.The basic information of dairy herds including estrus, conception, drying, calving, culling, vaccination can be input into the reproduction management system to produce some useful information about immediate works, condition status, reproductive performance, and statistic analysis.
