This decision support system was designed to assist the farm manager to get correct information to make the right decision of sow replacement and to offer proper management strategies according to individual sows'' situation. To avoid errors and to save the input time, a program was developedin dBASE IV programming language to transfer all related data from the package of the Recording and Management System of Pig Farm. Given farm''s data, related cost, and market price, this system translated sow reproductive performance into an economic index, the manager could therefore easy to find those sows that showed inadequate reproductive performance. Furthermore, from the sensitivity analysis of weaner number, mating number, the time of returning to estrus, or piglet price, this system provided a dynamic decision support for individual sows at different reproduction stage.
