碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 管理科學研究所 === 86 === Recently, the convenient stores, supermarkets and wholesalers in Taiwan increase greatly;therefore, those change the logistics industry, for instance, a multitude of distribution centers play an important role gradually. One of the most important industries found within the service sector is logistic industry which has accounted for 13% of the gross national product (G.N.P) has grown to an amount in excess of NT $800 billion dollars. However, managing distribution center (D.C.) not only requires the huge capital of investment but also needs the newest equipment and business capability. Several authors also emphasize that the real sources of a firm''s success come from the organization''s firm-specific or idiosyncratic resources (Conner, 1991; Olavarrieta, 1996, Closs, 1995). Consequently, this research draws on the resource-based view of the firm with path analysis o evaluate the impact of logistics industry''s resources and capabilities on business performance;the empirical results are as follows: 1.In Taiwan, the impacts of logistics industry''s strategic resources on business performance are logistics capability, customer service capability and investment of electric commerce. The results were interpreted the Closs and Fan''s point of view that they have claimed that logistics capability, customer service capability and the investment of electric commerce affect business performance positively. Besides, management capability of internal service quality that affects business performance indirectly must through the moderate variable that is customer service capability. This result wasn''t interpreted in light of Albert''s management capability of internal service quality that can affect the business performance directly.2.Sound reward system, empowerment, external connectivity of information system, investment of complementary resource of I.T. and flexibility of information system have significant effect on logistics capability. 3.Management capability of internal service quality, logistics capability, investment of electric commerce and timeliness of information system have significant effect on customer service capability.
