Cronbach''''''''s , test-retest, content validity and structurevalidity were conducted to assess the reliabilities and validities of scales.The subjects were all the nurses of selected hospital in Kaohsiung, 659 nursescompleted and returned valid questionnaires(response rate=93.4%). The data wasanalyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics.The results showed: 1.The scores of exercise and health responsibility subscalewas the lowest, the highest score was the safety in working-place subscale. 2.The numberof children, and health-promoting lessons were variables found to be significantly related with health-promoting lifestyles. 3.Health conception, self-efficacy and perceived health status were positively related to health-promoting lifestyles, and they were the significat preditors, self-efficacywas the most powerful predictor.Results generated from this study may act as references for nursing education and nursing administration to promote the health-promoting lifestyles amongclinical nurses and for further research in this field.
