Description
Summary:碩士 === 大葉大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 86 === Object-oriented technology is a new paradigm for software engineering. Its greatest advantage is in reusability, maintainability and productivity. This study investigates how the concept of object-oriented analysis methods could be used to help the building process of POS systems. Specifically, a case study focusing on retail POS systems is conducted by object-oriented analysis method. Furthermore, a case prototype system of the application, based on the object-oriented methodology, has been developed. When users want to modify the POS systems, they only need to modify these objects different from the new POS systems. It will reduce the modifying cost of the POS systems. We have found the object-oriented method is suitable for developing retail POS system incrementally. The object-oriented methodology has significantly reduced not only the developers'' developing time but also the users'' operation learning time.
