Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 86 === The speed-constant universal joint can be categorized into Ball joint (BJ) and Tripod joint (TJ), which is widely used in transmission shafts of fore-wheel driving vehicles. Ball joint (BJ) is able to transmit the power between two shafts with large aliment angle while Tripod joint (TJ) is able to provides the tolerance of the change of distance between gear-box and last-driving mechanism. Because the structure of speed-constant universal joint is so complicated, it is hard to analysis the stress, strain and contours by manual computation. The computer aided engineering (CAE) will be the only substitute. In this thesis, a well-known commercial finite element package ANSYS is utilized to analyze speed-constant universal joints. The model of speed-constant universal joints has been established to simulate the practical working situation.
