While the family business develops and enlarges from family organizational form to professional managemmentform, the owner of the family business will recruit professional managersBecause the managerial style of these family business reveals authoritarian leadership, guan-si orientation, and charisma-impression management, the dual system organizational structure and bipolar co-existence phenomenon arise in these family business. The members of the top managementare also the members of the family or the enlarge family system, and family informal influence is even more powerful than formal authority in this system. The members of mid- and low- levels management are membersof enterprise system constituted by the basis of professional abilities and technical skills. Because of the difference between the natures of these two systems, entrepreneurs/owners of the family business has differentevaluation standards and behavioral orientations depend on which leveland position of the dual system the professional managers stay in.The professional ability and loyalty of a msnsger to the entrepreneurs/owners is indispensable in a family business. The entrepreneurs/owners of family business requires different degrees of abilities and loyalties to different levels of the professional managers.This study depends on the theoretical viewpoint described above, the researcher uses depth interview method, and tries to explain these phenomena by casestudies.This study uses two dimensions -professional ability and loyality-to analysis and to explain the evaluation content of the owner of the family business. Finally, the result of this study may increase our description and interpretation capabilities to Taiwan family business.
