Study of Three Dimensional Flow Field and Mass Transfer at the Carotid Bifurcation

碩士 === 中原大學 === 土木工程研究所 === 86 === The vascular diseases caused by the intimal hyperplasia are usually found in the human arteries. Especially in the carotid bifurcation those diseases were found in the area of abnormal flow distribution such as separation in the sinus. In this research, a...

Especially in the carotid bifurcation those diseases were found in the area of abnormal flow distribution such as separation in the sinus. In this research, a numerical analysis was used to steady the flow distribution and mass transfer of 3-D carotid bifurcation. From the simulated results, secondary flow and recirculation zone with separation phenomena are the major influencing factors for causing the low shear stress and low mass transfer rate. It is also found that the minimum mass transfer rate. was in the beginning point of the sinus instead of the center of the recirculation zone. Jyh-Haw Tang 鄧志浩 1998 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
