Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 工業工程與管理研究所 === 86 === Due to the rapid progress of the electronic networking (Internet/Intranet) technology in recent years, office automation becomes inevitable. In addition, the information technology changes so quickly, the old manualintensive systems are inadequate to satisfy the demands of the new era. Constrained by a budget and an increasingly larger faculty, most of the schools have an urgent need to establish an administration system by utilizing information technologies more effectively. The objective of this study is to establish a user-requirement driven, Intranet based administration system, using Yuan Ze University, National Chin Hua University and National Chengchi University as models, by applying rational management principles; and through interviews with the experts, students and users. Most importantly, to reform the school administration by combining the theories of "Business Process Reengineering" with "Information Technology", not only can achieve the goal of "applying the theories onto practical matters" but also can deliver the following benefits: 1.Tangible (economical) benefits such as savings from system development and maintenance cost. 2.Intangible (functional) benefits in such areas as Management Decision Making, Inter-person Communications and improved working environment hence productivity In summary, throughout the reengineering process we must be able to grasp the ever changing information, fully aware of our weakness and strength, accumulate results through experiences, set a suitable direction for our development. And, through the gradually maturing Internet and Intranet environment to map out a sensible, standard and systematic blue print for Administration Automation.
