Summary:碩士 === 中正理工學院 === 造船工程研究所 === 86 === Active magnetic bearing(AMB) has many advantages for industrial applications due to its unique properties of non-contact, elimination of lubrication, no vibration and low noise. This paper describes the design procedure by using linear quadratic regular(LQR) control theory to apply magnetic bearings and examine those bearing performances on a rigid-rotor testing rig. The study also includes:stability, damping, stiffness and steady-state response. Comparing the test results with analysis, it shows that the general LQR process can apply to determine the parameters for the AMB controller effectively.
