碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計學研究所 === 85 === 　　Written words always play the role of tools in delivering information and expressing one''s feeling since ancient; the function of written words inside a novel and a prose record the history and reflects the reality of society. To accompany with the prosperous of vernacular Chinese publishing and mass media business, the as novel and prose have become a part of many peoples'' lives. This result will also influence mankind''s thought unconsciously. Ordinary reader will accustom to focus on how about the plot of whole story expended and the personality of the character been molded while reading a novel and pose. Therefore, it is easy to neglect essential factor of written words in a story. For example, the words we chose to describe the "shape" and "color" of subject matter. This is the same as using "play settings" beside main plot to set off the contrast and to enrich whole story while writing a piece of complete story. The readers'' mood will be dread to grow attachment without conscious. 　　The aim of this research is to study the characteristic of communication inside written color words and literary works involve with words and sentences about color. The result shows how can characters transmit the color sense to reader under circumstances of no object and choose questionnaire measurement for the main study method. The study process has divided into three steps. 　　The first step is to make a serial of table with color words that draw out from the author''s works and put in order. 　　The second step is to divide the person who answers the questionnaire into several categories, such as sex, level of education (senio rand professional high school), education background (the one whose background relatd to art design, Chinese literature major, or neither art design nor Chinese literature major), each color word and the various contexts of sentence. 　　The third step is to request the people who take the questionnaire (including writer and readers) select relative color tickets corresponding to the extracted color words. 　　Through synthesizing each step of the research, the results revealed as below: 　　1.The color word from the writer of this study is much in common use and mainly shows a general idea style in the color words expressing method. 　　2.The results of the experiment indicate that there was not enough evidences to explain sex, level of education, and education background will affect the recognition of color words. 　　3.The front and rear context will influence the color recognition of color words; especially come out conspicuously when using same color word in different front and rear written words.
