Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 工業設計技術研究所 === 85 ===   The study is to investigate changes of rural house design from social and residential perspectives, and from two outlooks-social and living changes, including analysis of past and contemporary status, to understand how present rural residential development relates to the changes of rural house, to review why the houses were thus and so designed, and the meaning, "propriety" and "problems" behind it. The study provides a reference for dealing with future rural house design.   Chapter 1 Preface-The motivates, research methods and contents ofstudy.   Chapter 2 analysis of rural house from social perspective. Agricultural policy, residence, land policy, relevant regulations and laws, development of rural house, and construction of rural house, ete.   Chapter 3 Analysis of rural house from living perspective-The interrelation between the house and the people who live in it including the dweller, formation of living space (dweller''s orientation), partition and use of space; weighing of improvements and additions, the dweller''s family structure; transition of rural house and adaptation.   Chapter 4 Changes of rural house design-The analysis of factors related to changes of rural house design through investigation from social and living outlooks: classification of these factors based on the degree of its impact.   Chapter 5 Conclusion-Results of the study, classification of problems of rural house design: recommendations and additional research.
