A356 Al Alloycomposites have succeeded,and the present design
the dilution method to utilize,then get the containing 0~20wt%
SiC(p) composites. There are three topics to discuss on this
paper: (I).at the different melt temperature(640℃~760℃)
andmetal mold temperature (300℃~500℃),the influence of matrix
with SiC particulates distribution become non-uniform.
Experimental result discover that adds withmold temperature and
the melt temperature rise; (II).discussion on the sprialfluidity
sand mold and arc shape fluidity metal mold design, particulate
volume,and melt temperature influence on the fluidity.
Experimental conclusion discoverthat the adopt arc shape
fluidity mold design can avoid particulate sink, andinfluence to
count the fluidity length shorten with the addition of SiC
particulatesvolume and the reduce of melt temperature; (III).
discuss on the three state(annealing state, casting state, T6
state)the influence on the machinability inthe different
particulate volume, and cutting temperature (N2(l),R.T) of the
A356 Al Alloy/0~20wt%SiC(p) composites. Experimental result that
using PCD(polycrystalline diamond) tool to cut with increasing
SiC particulates volume that the flank wear and the surface
roughness rise with reducing base hardness onthe A356 Al Alloy/0
~20wt%SiC(p) composites.
