identification and involvement to an organization. Therefore,
how to raise employees'' commitment to organizations has become
an important subject to all managers. Many scholars think
leadership as an important factor that will affect employees''
commitment to an organization, and the purpose our research is
what kinds of leadership will make employees to have higher
degree of O.C.Besides, personal characteristics is also an
important factor that will affect employees'' O.C. However
,former researches about personality primarily concentrate on
effects of demographics on O.C. In our research, we use locus of
control as personal characteristics to explore their influences
on O.C.This study use convenient sample drawn form 1200
employees in Taipei city and there are 319 usable respondents.
The conclusions of this study are as follows:1. The degree of
employees'' O.C. differs under different types of leadership.2.
The degree of employees'' O.C. differs under different types of
locus of control..3. Under "selling" leadership, locus of
control doesn''t have significant influences on O.C.4. Under
"participating" leadership, locus of control has significant
influences on O.C.5. Under "delegation" leadership, locus of
control doesn''t have significant influences on O.C.6. Under
telling leadership, locus of control doesn''t have significant
influences on O.C.
