Strategic planning is a task of top managers. While formulating strategic planning, enterprises can get better results and better management. Morever, the fitness of strategy with the corporate culture plays a very important role in strategic planning. Corporate culture is the basic motivation and principle of members'' behavior, and it creats meaningful actions. The implementation of business strategy depends upon the support of the employees of the corporation. In other words, corporate culture is an important factor to lead to business strategy to success. This thesis studies the relationships among corporate culture, strategy, and performance. The population include the industrial companies Top 500 from China Credit Information Service Ltd. eds. "1995 Chinese Large Enterprises Order".The conflusions of this thesis are as follows :1.The corporate culture affects the performance directly. The degree of extroversion of corporate culture has significant effect on business performance and the linear correlation is positive. But the degree of complexity of corporate culture doesn''t affect the performance significantly.2.The corporate culture influences the adoption of strategy significantly. NO matter the degree of extroversion or complexity of corporate culture, they all influence more or less on the adoption of strategy. 3.Different strategy will significantly affect performance if not to consider the variable of the corporate culture itself. Prospector and Analyzer will have better performance, but Defender and Reactor will have worse performance. 4.The combinations of corporate culture and business strategy will influence the performance of the corporation.
