| Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 85 === This study is to explore the application overviews and adoption
considerations for the Intranet in Taiwan''s enterprises. It is
aimed at 10 specific companies,for which Intranet planning has
been introduced into their operations. Each of the project
leaders of the 10 companies is interviewed by asking questions
concerning 6 particular subjects. The results of the interviews
are compiled with the method of content analysis. This study
intends to help Taiwan*s enterprises grasp the possible
applications and developments of a newly introduced information
technology, conduct discreet assessments and thorough planning,
and spot its major sources of support, critical success factors
and the problems confronting its management and technologies.
The results show thatthe features and benefits of the Intranet
are the ideal goal for the enterprisesto use IT. The interviewed
companies are full of confidence in using the Intranet in the
future. However, obstacles and difficulties exist in the
planning adoption in current Intranet application. Besides, few
enterprises can practically apply theIntranet*s concepts and
techniques to their internal information systems. It is hoped
that this study will provide the actual experiences of the
interviewed companieswhich will be of reference value to the
enterprises planning to adopt the Intranet.It is also hoped that
the substantial recommendations in this study can be
contributedto the enterprises in using the Intranet. Case
studies can be workout for specific categories of enterprises in
the future in order to reach a profound understanding of the
management and technique of the Intranet, thereby making
configured development procedures and reference models more
applicable. Moreover, the analysis and research of the software
and hardware combination applied in the Intranet can be an
advice for enterprises'' adoption.
