Abstract: The main purpose of this study is discussing the
possibility of China''s(communist) military threat to the Asia-
Pacific before 2010, through thefollowing analyse framework:
1. The environment outside China, include strategic environment,
conflictin this area, the main military powers in this area,
etc. 2. The environment inside China, include the historical
records of China,China''s strategic policy, China''s military
capability, the weak point ofChina, etc. The framework of
this study is composed of five chapters and are as follows:
Chapter 1: Introduction.Chapter 2: The strategic environment of
Asia-Pacific in Post-Cold War.Chapter 3: China''s strategy to the
Asia-Pacific.Chapter 4: The analysis of China''s military
capability.Chapter 5: The posibility of China''s military threat.
The conclusion in this study is that China has neither
capability norwillingness to threaten or invade Asia-Pacific
contries through militarymeans before 2010 and even 2020.
