Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 化學工程學系 === 85 === The structure of a membrane is known to affect significantly the separation performance during a filtration operation . In this research , Nylon-66 membrane are prepared by the "phase inversion" method . The effects of temperature and inorganic salt additive on the membrane structure are studied . Depending upon the precipitation conditions , three types of membrane structure were obtained , i.e. , the finger-type , sponge-type , and particulate-type , as examined by scanning electron microscopy . As precipitation temperature is increased , liquid-liquid phase separation becomes obvious and the membrane shift toward the sponge-type structure . On the other hand , addition of salt in the dope cause a fast precipitation and the finger-type structure emerges. Adding solvent to the precipitation bath , we can find that the macrovoids become smaller even disappear.
