So the study will use TOC concept in MRP production system to improve the problems of MRP. A buffer- modified MRP was utilized. This environment used MRP scheduling with a buffer inserted prior to the contraining operation in a flow shop. The study presents the findings from a simulation using actual production data comparing the MRP scheduling method with that of drum-buffer-rope(DBR)from the TOC with buffer- modified MRP. The simulation is based on production information from a compressor factory currently using MRP. An analysis of results of all scenarios indicates that the constraints buffer used in DBR was successful in increasing output from the system.
