By means of content analysis,verbal behaviors of the subjects were systematically analyzed and categorized. As primary nurse,the researcher successfully collected 7 men''s case study data via interview, with a total of 28 pieces of process recorded behaviors. Collected data of each case,verbal and non-verbal,were put into descriptive from of behavioral process and then categorically integrated,through content analysis,on the basis of verbal expression matched with appearance,action,andintention. The results show that operation meaning of role change for man during thetreatment of his wife can be categorized into the following 4 groups : 1.suddenchange in family role task 2.difficulties in facing role expansion 3.con-fronted with difficult tasks and multiple role ;and 4.being situated in self-adaptation to best act multiple role play. Adaptation behavior for man facingrole change can be classified into 1.trying to adjust increased role of suddenchange, 2.learning new role operation, 3.making effort for multiple role play,,and 4.striving for maintaining family safety and living. The result of this indicate that man modulate his behavior to meet the different from requirements in playing family roles in the time of his wifesuffered from abortion threaten in hospitalization.
