The algorithms work in two steps: first, all boundary surfaces of the solid model are replaced by a set of triangular patches; second, grids are searched from these triangular patches and generated finite elements. Then three-dimensional meshgeneration is accomplished. In order to reduce the computation time, the algorithm proposedhere is not necessary to use the complex Boolean operation. The finite elements generated by this algorithm include the tetrahedrons and hexahedrons. Finally, some examples and a FEM analysis are illustrated to verify the feasibilities of the algorithm. 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 機械工程學系 === 85 === In this paper an algorithm of automated mesh generation from
solid models is presented. The algorithms work in two steps:
first, all boundary surfaces of the solid model are replaced by
a set of triangular patches; second, grids are searched from
these triangular patches and generated finite elements. Then
three-dimensional meshgeneration is accomplished. In order to
reduce the computation time, the algorithm proposedhere is not
necessary to use the complex Boolean operation. The finite
elements generated by this algorithm include the tetrahedrons
and hexahedrons. Finally, some examples and a FEM analysis are
illustrated to verify the feasibilities of the algorithm.
