agriculture aspect and works very well. According to the
difference between each plate in the sorter, the fruit sorter
can grade from big and small fruit. The vibration device
equipped in the sorter is a newly design in order to improve
the grading effect.
The vibration device is one of the most important part of the
fruit sorter. But there is not any supported information about
the device, like vibration amplitude etc. The goal of the
research is to provide a guide as a reference about the variety
characteristics of vibration of the vibration device. Then
based on the research we can exactly know which or how the
vibration device should be when the fruit sorter is employed to
grade a specific fruit.
The research takes the vibration amplitude ( controled by the
tooth's tallness of the saw-toothed strip) ,vibration frequency
( controled by the pitch of the saw-toothed strip) and the
vibration effect time ( controled by the longitude of the saw-
toothed strip) as the variables, and try to find out the
differences between each predefined characteristic of the
vibration device ( change its vibration amplitude, frequency
and vibration effect time). So that we can conclude a best
character of the vibration
device when sorting a specific fruit.
The resultant data shows that there actually exists evident
difference between whether there is the vibration device
equipped or not. And by observing the data we find the
performance of the sorter is best when the vibration amplitude
is 5.0mm, the frequency is lower ( the pitch of the saw-toothed
strip is 40mm) and the vibration effect time is longer ( the
longitude of the saw-toothed strip is 600mm). (The percentage
of the ideal sorting angle fruit number is highest and the
percentage of the error grad
ed fruit number is lowest.)
