GISWEB, an Internet system which combines database with the techniques of geographic information system, can process spatial information so as to arrange and share spatial information more efficiently on the Internet; the use of WEB and GIS techniques along with database management would enable people to obtain spatial information effectively and provide instant analysis of this information and the purpose of map-making. With the example of the website of landscape conservation, this research aims to discuss the dissemination of spatial information on the Internet and the applicability of GISWEB. Besides, it would also attempt to integrate the database, GIS techniques and the WWW environment and accordingly to set up a website of landscape conservation database inquisition system. The system developed under this research would enable the spatial information of landscape conservation in Taiwan to be widely disseminated to the public on the Internet; thus solving the problem of the current system. In addition, by means of integrating GIS techniques, it is possible for the spatial information to contain more relevant dynamic analysis in order to enhance users'''' recognition of landscape. This research expects that, through the education on the use of Internet, the inquisition of landscape information and the dissemination of landscape knowledge would be made possible, and that the concept of landscape conservation would become common to the general public. 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 地理學系 === 85 === The sharing and dissemination of spatial information have long been widely
discussed, and they have been greatly improved with the
development of Internet and
computer science. GISWEB, an Internet system which combines database with the
techniques of geographic information system, can process
spatial information so as to
arrange and share spatial information more efficiently on the
Internet; the use of WEB
and GIS techniques along with database management would enable people to obtain
spatial information effectively and provide instant analysis of
this information and the
purpose of map-making.
With the example of the website of landscape conservation,
this research aims to
discuss the dissemination of spatial information on the
Internet and the applicability of
GISWEB. Besides, it would also attempt to integrate the
database, GIS techniques and
the WWW environment and accordingly to set up a website of
landscape conservation
database inquisition system. The system developed under this
research would enable the
spatial information of landscape conservation in Taiwan to be
widely disseminated to the
public on the Internet; thus solving the problem of the current
system. In addition, by
means of integrating GIS techniques, it is possible for the
spatial information to contain
more relevant dynamic analysis in order to enhance users''''
recognition of landscape. This
research expects that, through the education on the use of
Internet, the inquisition of
landscape information and the dissemination of landscape
knowledge would be made
possible, and that the concept of landscape conservation would
become common to the
general public.
