Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 土木工程學系 === 85 === Typically, a building facility is jointly designed by
architects and engineerswith different background. After design,
construction is also performed by contractors, who may have
different experience. These contractors are likely supported by
manyother subcontracts. Therefor many parties are involved along
the project. As such, created many gaps are among different
parties. For example, the gaps between designersand contracts
coursed a lot of constructability problems. Poor technical
detail andoversights during design phase might result in
critical constructability problems, such as schedule delay and
resource waste at the construction stage. The interfacebetween
the designer and constructor is the critical point to implement
a constructionproject successfully and economically. In
response to the problems, the objective of this research is to
reduce theconflicts between design process and construction
operations. The potential problemsamong these two parties were
identified by questionnaires and consulted with
experiencedengineers. The following list summaries three steps
to implement the study. The firstone is clarifying major work
items at preliminary design phase and detail phase.Reviewing the
characteristics of construction activities is the second step.
The lastone is generating various approaches in solving problems
identified cause at step 2. Four research results were
obtained in this study: (1) identifying key work itemsat design
phase; (2) identifying the factors to estimate the duration of
design phase;(3) identifying key design work items that will
affect construction operations;(4) presenting a design-build
model that allows close cooperation between designer and
constructor.Keyword : design、constructability、design-build
