Firstly, The shielded coupled microstrip line structures and the exicted dispersion models are introduced in detail. Secondly, The quasis-static characteristics of shielded coupled microstrip lines are analyzed. Moreover, the frequency- dependentcharacteristics of the shielded coupled microstrip lines are studied, including the even- and odd-mode effective dielectric constantsand characteristic impedences. From the results of analysis, it is noted that the even- and odd-mode effective dielectric constantsand characteristics impedences are increased with the frequency. Finally, the signal dispersion on shielded on shielded coupled microstrip linesis executed. From the results of analysis, it is noted that the dispersion effect will be more pronounced when the shielded coupled microstrip lines are designed with largersubstrate dielectric constant or strip conductor width, thicker strip conductor or substrate and higher shielding height or strip conductors.
