Through the whole activities, tried to keep the students in high interest, and made what they had learned on chemistry, both concepts and skills, transferred to a new condition. The strategies of evaluation used in the activities were 1.)the performance of each group and each individual: cooperation, participation, and times of speaking; 2.)achievement in subject matter knowledge was assessed with paper-pencil tests; 3.)level of learning. After the activities, the students expressed that they like such teaching activities. In the first part of "Pigment of Plants" STS experimental activity, the total participants were 22, and almost all the students had obvious progress of their grades on the subjects of relative knowledge. There were 20 people passed the subject matter knowledge test, at the of 90.9%; there was strong positive correlation, expressed by percentage consistency, between degree of participation and the grades of written test(87%); 17 people passed the learning level, at the rate of 77.27%.In the second part of "Pingment of Plants" STS experimental activity, the total participants were 16, and all of them passed the subject matter knowledge test, at the rate of 100%; there was strong positive correlation, expressed by percentage consistency, between degree of participation and the grades of written test (70%); 1l people passed the learning level, at the rate of 68.75% .In the first part of "Natural Cleaner" STS experimental activity, the total participants were 16, and 12 people passed the subject matter knowledge test, at the rate of 75%; there was strong positive correlation, expressed by percentage consistency, between degree of participation and the grades of written test(72%).In the second part of "Natural Cleaner" STS experimental activity, there were 15 people passed the subject matter knowledge test, at the rate of 93.75%; there was strong poistive correlation, expressed by percentage consistency, between degree of participation and the grades of written test(70%), There were total 11 people passed the learning level of "Natural Cleaner" STS experimental activity, at the rate of 68.75%. 洪志明 1997 學位論文 ; thesis 113 zh-TW
