The micro perspectives of the traditional management theory and the macro perspectives of sociology are integrated in this research. Through, observing how social factors-- such as social capital, social structure and environment-- affecting corporation operation style, an analytic structure is depicted in the research. The corporation operation style and network transitions of Acer Group are employed as a case study for this research.   The social environment and strctures are explored in the research in order to investigate how these social factors affecting the formation of the PC industry and corporation networks in Taiwan. Besides. how the social capital works in Acer Group are another key elements of this research. Social capital is composed of personal social relations and business networks. Finally, the concept of value-net, proposed by Brandenburger & Nalebuff. is incorporated in the study. By taking the corporation''s interaction with customers. suppliers. substitutors and complementors into consideration. a corporation is able to create a more profitable environment through changing corporation''s value net.
