碩士 === 國防管理學院 === 資源管理研究所 === 85 === 　　The developers of information systems understand that Executive Information Systems (EIS) are difficult to implement on the basis of the traditional system development methodology. Not only the executives'' information requirements are usually not clear enough, but also the external environment is changed rapidly. Therefore, this thesis proposes an adaptive model to accommodate the requirement of EIS for executive. The adaptive model features the rapid prototyping and the object-oriented method. The preliminary information is first constructed according to interactive of secretaries, administrative assistants, and other subordinates with good understanding of what information is important to the executives. Once a rapid EIS prototype is built, it will be consulted and presented to executives for further refine tuning. Meanwhile, to adapt EIS system to the continuously changing environment, the thesis also adopts the concept of object-oriented model featuring object reuse and inheritance in order to shorter system modification period. 　　In this study, we use the Strategic business objectives (SBO) and Critical success factor (CSF) method in preliminary study, object-oriented tools are applied in the stage of rapid prototyping to verify the availability of the proposed approach. 　　The advantages of the proposal approach include: 　　1.it can quickly and precisely to define information requirements of executives. 　　2.it can deliver initial version in a short period of time. 　　3.it can provide reusable environment of system function. 　　4.it can build up an appropriate and well-organized guideline for the development process. 　　5.it can have better expansibility and maintenance. 　　6.it can precisely setup a link between EIS and the contents to business objectives. 　　The developing methods of EIS are closely related to the evolution of information technology. The proposed method is base on nowadays information technology. In the future, we will evolve the method with future information technology. 　　The method of EIS development is evolutionary that tightly depend on information technology (IT). Our approach is one of the best methods that base of nowadays IT. Our research will to be continued evolve with IT.
