In recent years, because the high school students who join the entrance examination of military academies become fewer than ever, the National Defense Department faces the challenge of shortage of recruitment. This article applies the social information processing model to explore the relationship between high school students'' perception of occupational characteristics toward military, information source channel and intention of career selection in order to improve recruitment problem. The study gets following findings: high school students have little information about military. In the obtained information, they get most of message from the military instructors and general media. General speaking, high school students have more positive perceptions toward compensation, professional skill, in the other hand, they have more negative perceptions toward autonomy, physical loading, task environment and conditions, and career development. The intention to attend the military school entrance examination are low. On the relationship between construct, more information students get, the more positive perception and the higher intention to select military career they have. On the whole structure, family information sources which may directly influence intention of career selection are mainly emotional, school information sources which are mainly emotional, school information sources which may influence perception of occupational characteristics are mainly intellectual, and social information sources which may influence perception of occupational characteristics and intention of career selection are both intellectual and emotional. Therefore, this research suggest that national defense department supplies high school students more positive information about military, survey more deeply rules and administration. If the negative perceptions are true, they should improve them, and if they are just resulted by wrong information, they should enhance propaganda to clear them in order to attract high school students to attend the entrance examination of military academies. 張緯良 廖國鋒 1997 學位論文 ; thesis 101 zh-TW |
