The way to use computers is also called numerical method. It can be divided into two basic types: One is called" Refinement Method" which doesn't need initial design value. Both of them are not perfect. Refinement method takes too much CPU times, and its initial design value will affect the results of the optimization. Synthesis method doesn't need initial design value, but it is difficult to get an optimized thin films system bye its own login. In order to get better result, the synthesis method is used first to get the initial design value, and followed by the refinement method to optimize the initial design value.
