The subjects were 518 employees drawn out accoccupational types. The Work Value Scale, Career Development Need Scale were used as measuremental tools. The employee''s work values and career development needs were analysed by the M,SD, T test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The work values that employee value more highly are life and leisure and economic, and the lowers are altruism and social affirmative. 2. The employee''s work values are different in sexual, age, education degree, occupation type, and marriage status. 3. The career development needs that employee need more is education-training, and the less is life counseling need. 4. The career development needs are different in sexual, age, education degree, occupation type, and marriage status. 5. There is correlation existed between employee''s work value and career cevelopment need. In summary, the current study has revealed employee''s career development needs in the central part of Taiwan. Based on the findings, the results may provide valuable imformation to organizations, schools and employee''s counselors.
