Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 商業教育學系 === 85 === Abstract The electronic mail
system (E-mail system) is one of the best tools to transmit
information on networks. An E-mail post-processing system
integratesthe E-mail system and application programs. It
enables users to useE-mail messages in a faster and more
convenient ways. After studying the processing procedures of
the E-mail system and application programs,we developa
programming model that contains several modules for an E-mail
post-processingsystem. The modular structure can be applied on
many different applications. In this study,we describe how to
develop an application using this model. We also select a
practical case (receiving and processing students'' programming
homework via E-mail) as an application example to developits
corresponding e-mail post-processing system. The application
system is developed on UNIX operation system,and all processing
programs are written asc shell scripts ona HP workstation. At
the end of our study,we list some advantages of the E-mail post-
processing system including integrating functions between
differentapplications, increasing message security, and
shorteningthe processes of jobs.At the same time,we provide some
guidelines for system developers to develop other applications
using our model.Keywords:E-mail system、E-mail post-processing
