manufacturing devices have been one of the idiosyncrasy of
industry. In this furious competition world, the reliability
engineering has gotten more and more focus, because
manufacturers had noted the important of stable and high-quality
product. However, doing a reliability analysis in those complex
devices is a difficult work. It depends the stable of produce
device that whether production is successfully or not.
Unfortunately, once a device work, there exists a rate of
function degradation. A suitable maintenance is an important
action on devices to avoid the unstable because function-decay.
In this paper, we use fault-tree analysis (FTA) method, a good
method for analyze a complex system, to find the reliability
behave of Flexible manufacturing System (FMS). We will evaluate
an FMS in the point view of reliability. Also, we use FTA to
discuss the result after a repair apply to an element. The
target of this paper, we try to find a maintenance policy of a
system with three kinds of periodic and preventive maintenance
work -- replacement, repair and clean-up/adjustment.
