Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 物理學系 === 85 === We use the inert-gas condensation method to prepare Ag particle, and observethe growth of particles at various evaporation conditions. We collect two kindsof specimen, one is deposited onto carbon coated copper grid and the other isonto base.By Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM),the growth of particles onthe copper grid and the distribution of particle size is studied. And the particle size on base is measured by X- ray diffraction. In the experiment, wechange the current of evaporation source, the pressure of argon gas,the distancebetween base and evaporation source, the temperature of base, the evaporation time, and use different inert-gas and heater materials in order to study theeffect to the growth of particles. The conceptual model for particle growth canbe described by growth layer established by C.G.Granquist and R.A. Buhrman.According to the growth layer model and observing results from TEM,we study the effect of evaporation environment to the growth of particles.Otherwise, the distribution of particle size obey the Log-Normal Distribution Function (LNDF), and they can compare with each other and give evidence.
